Our officers from the Chaddesden Safer Neighbourhood Team are inviting residents to join them for a drink to discuss local policing issues.

The team is holding a ‘street-meet’ at the Costa Coffee, Wyvern Centre, Derby tomorrow, Friday, January 27 and is inviting local residents or shop keepers in the area to come and discuss any issues that they feel are affecting their community.

PC Mark Atterbury from the team explained: “Although separated from Chaddesden by the A52,  the Wyvern Centre is very much part of our patch and we are very often in the area on foot or on our bikes. By holding this type of informal meeting we are hoping that anyone in Chaddesden, or the shop keepers in the centre, that would like to discuss any particular policing issues will come along and have a chat with us.

"Our previous events have proven to be popular so we would urge people to come along and have a chat with us."

Sergeant Nick Beeston, who is in charge of the team, said: "We have been dealing with several complaints from residents about anti-social behaviour from 'car-cruises' on the centre and so this is an opportunity for any one concerned about this to come and speak to my officers about actions we are taking to try and resolve these complaints."

The team will be at Costa between 12 midday and 1.30pm.
