Our Spondon policing Safer Neighbourhood Team are inviting residents to join them for a ‘Cuppa with a Copper’.

The events are being held across the village starting tomorrow, Tuesday, October 9 at The Vernon Arms.

PCSO Kelsey Mumford, from the team, explained: “We are always out and about in Spondon and try to get to speak to as many people as possible.

“Holding these types of events allows us to be in a set place at a set time so that if anyone would like to come and have a chat with us they know where we are.

“Spondon is a safe and pleasant place to live, work and visit but that does not mean it isn’t without it’s issues, these events gives people the opportunity to come and speak to us, in an informal setting to help us to continue addressing problems that are causing concern.”

The team will be holding events on the following dates and locations:

  • Tuesday, October 9, 10am-12 midday, Vernon Arms, Locko Road
  • Wednesday, October 17, 12 midday-2pm, Cafe Aroma, Chapel Street
  • Thursday, October 25, 10am-1pm, St Werburgh’s Church.

If you would like to speak to the team and can’t make any of these events, contact them using one of the following non-emergency contact methods.
