People living in Spondon will now see two new faces on the streets as the neighbourhood policing team welcomes two new members.
Tom Sheridan, is the latest Police Community Support Officer to join the Spondon Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team.

PCSO Sheridan has been spending time in his new role getting out on patrol and meeting the local community.

He has already attended his first community forum meeting and spent time supporting NHW at local crime prevention events at ASDA and B & Q in Spondon.

Before becoming a PCSO, Tom, was at university in Sheffield Hallam studying for a degree in Criminology and still works as a Steve Meekvolunteer for Victim Support.

He said: “I’ve always been interested in a career with the police, and I’m really looking forward to working with the local community and hopefully making a difference to their quality of life."

Spondon also sees PC Stephen Meek join the team which already includes PC Vicki Marriott, PCSO Kate Hodnett.

PC Meek replaces PC Luke Scribbins who has now moved to Derwent and Oakwood Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team.
