The incident happened at around 3am on Tuesday, August 1 when the victim, a 19 year-old woman from Derby, was punched in the face by a man who approached her outside the Friargate club.

The assault is being investigated by PC Rorry Head who said: “The assault seems to be completely without motive. The victim was punched in the face causing a nose bleed.

“The image is in black and white but the man is thought to be wearing a red Ralph Lauren T-shirt.”
