Derby cops keen to speak to 'white man van' after he helped in city centre arrest.

Posted on 7th August 2018
Curzon Street Curzon St, where the arrest was eventually made.

Officers from our Derby City Centre Safer Neighbourhood Team are keen to thank a ‘white van man’ who helped in an arrest.

The incident happened yesterday morning (Monday, August 6) at around 11.15am.

One of the Police Community Support Officers (PCSO), Alex Lucic, saw a man in the Wardwick who he knew to be subject of a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO), restricting his access to the city centre.

The man ran off and was chased by Alex through the city centre. Whilst he ran down the middle of Curzon Street a driver of a white van tried to use the van to stop the man running off, this slowed him down and the man was detained.

Logan Rowe (26) of Dean Street Derby has now been charged with breaching his CBO and will appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court this morning (Tuesday, August 7).

Rowe was also recalled to prison for breaching the conditions of his parole licence.

PCSO Lucic, said: “We would really like to thank the driver of the van for his actions that enabled us to detain the wanted man, unfortunately, although he stopped with me whilst police officers turned up to make the arrest, I didn’t get his name or get chance to thank him.

“It was an outstanding display of determination to assist the police and we would like to personally thank him.”

Are you, or do you know the driver of this white van? If so please make contact with Alex using one of the following non-emergency contact methods.
