Vehicle safety and security events taking place across Derby North section this summer

A number of vehicle safety and security events are set to take place this summer across the Derby North policing section.

Officers from Safer Neighbourhood teams based at Roe Farm police station are organising the events to offer advice and security tips to motorists. They will be on hand at various locations throughout the summer:

• Monday, June 8 from 2.30pm to 6pm at the Asda store in Spondon;

• Monday, July 6 from 12pm to 4pm at the Days hotel/ Virgin Active, Chaddesden;

• Monday, July 27 from 3pm to 7pm at the Sainsbury’s store, Wyvern Way, Derby;

• Wednesday, August 12 from 2pm to 6pm at Travelodge/ Toby Carvery, Chaddesden;

• Saturday, August 29 from 4.30pm to 8pm at the Morrison’s store, Wheatcroft Way, Derby.

Local drivers will be able to meet team members and find out about different ways to increase security in a bid to deter vehicle crime.
