PC Emma Madden and PCSO Betsy Mitchell from Mackworth and Morely SNT will be at the ‘Family Festivities’ event at Markeaton Park this weekend.

The Safer Neighbourhood Team will have a stall at the Christmas Craft Fair weekend between 11am-3pm on Saturday December 1 and Sunday 2.

Officers will be available to speak to residents about local policing issues and offer a range of crime prevention advice.

The stall will have items such as purse chains and bells, and card defenders as well as leaflets with advice to help people stay safe and protect their property this winter.

PCSO Betsy Mitchell said: “It’s great for us to get out and about Christmastime, and we are looking forward to being part of the ‘Family Festivities’ event.

“We want people to stay safe and have a happy Christmas, and we will be giving personal safety tips to ensure that you and your family are safe at this time of year.

“Come along and chat to us about any policing issues or concerns you might have - and we will do our best to give you the advice you need.”
