Police issue CCTV of two men breaking in to a van in Derby

Posted on 13th April 2017

Our officers have issued CCTV footage of two men apparently breaking in to a van in Derby and are asking for help identifying them.

The incident happened at around 7.30pm on Wednesday March 15 on Peel Street, Derby.

The footage shows two men get out of what officers believe to be a Ford Focus car and appear to break-in to a Citroen Dispatch van parked in the street.

Sergeant Mark Preston, who is in charge of Safer Neighbourhood policing in the area, said: “Although nothing was stolen from the van it has still caused expense and inconvenience to the owner of the van and so we would like to trace those responsible.

“The offence happened at a fairly busy time of the evening and so we would like to talk to anyone who saw anything suspicious or recognises the men in the video.

Anyone who recognises the men in the images or has any information about the incident is asked to contact the Mackworth and Morley Safer Neighbourhood Team on 101 quoting reference number 17000110557.
