Officers issue warning after damage caused to garden store containers

Posted on 14th November 2016

Officers from the Littleover and Blagreaves Safer Neighbourhood Team have issued a warning to gardeners after a number of storage containers were damaged.

The incident happened overnight between Friday November, 11 and Saturday, November, 12 when six outside storage containers were damaged at Holmfield managed housing development on Stenson Road, Derby.

PCSO Megan Wyatt from the team said: “ Nothing was stolen from the containers, however, the way they were damaged would suggest that this may have been a motive.

“Although the containers can be locked I would recommend that things of value, such as expensive gardening or power tools, are not stored in them as these are very often the target for thieves.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the team on 101 quoting reference number 16000365460.
