Our Mickleover Safer Neighbourhood Team have been inviting residents to join them for a ‘Cuppa with a Copper’
The events are being held around the village to encourage the community to come and talk to the team about any policing issues they may have.
The next ‘Cuppa with a Copper’ is being held on Monday, March 5 between 10am and 12 midday at Milly May’s Coffee Shop, Ladybank Road.
PCSO Tracy Bell, who is a member of the policing team said: “I am always out and about in the village and speak to lots of people. The idea of these events is to be in a set place at a set time so if anyone has any issues that they would like to tell me about they can come and see me.
“The locations for the events are all set in cafes around the village, so we can sit in an informal setting over a cup of tea or coffee and have a chat.
“Mickleover is a safe place to live, work and visit and we want it to remain that way by people letting us know of any issues that are causing them concern.
“The first event was held in the community centre cafe and proved very popular, at one point I had a queue of people wanting to talk to me.”
