Police appeal for information following a burglary and attempted break-in in Mickleover

Police are appealing for information following a burglary and an attempted break-in which took place in Mickleover this week.

The burglary took place sometime between 6.10pm and 8.10pm on Monday, March 2 at an address in Springdale Court.

Offenders gained entry to the property by throwing a brick through a ground floor window.  An untidy search was made and a set of car keys, a watch and a set of motorbike keys was stolen.

A second incident was also reported on the same day of an attempted break-in to a property in Telford Close, Mickleover. 

A brick was thrown through a ground floor glass door panel sometime between 5.30pm and 11.15pm.  It is believed the offenders were disturbed and made off.

Anyone with any information about either  incident, or who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area, is asked to contact PC Andy Kendal-Edwards on 101, quoting crime number 8824/15.
