Derby man arrested in police raid on suspected drug dealer

Our officers have today arrested a suspected drug dealer after a search of a Derby house.

The search was carried out earlier this morning, Wednesday, August 30, at an address on Portland Street, Derby. Around 1kg of what is believed to be synthetic cannabinoids, often referred to as black mamba, was recovered.

A 54 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class B drug. He has been interviewed and released under investigation while our inquiries continue.

The action was taken as part of our crack-down on reports of anti-social behaviour believed to be caused by individuals under the influence of such substances.
