Our officers from the Normanton and Peartree Safer Neighbourhood Teams are taking to the streets to offer residents crime prevention advice.
The move comes at events over the next three days at different locations across the area.
The team will be out with the mobile police station offering lots of advice, equipment, hints and tips and are urging residents to come out and speak to them about how they can prevent becoming victims of crime.
Sergeant Graham Dent, who is in charge of the team, said: “This is an opportunity for the team to get out and about in the community and offer residents some help and crime prevention advice.
“We have been joined by the Police Service Volunteers (PSVs) who will be giving out leaflets and offering some tips to help prevent people becoming victims of crime.”
The team will be at the Cavendish tonight, Tuesday, March 13 until 8pm, The Southgate Retail Park, tomorrow, Wednesday, March 14 between 10am and 6pm and outside the library on Peartree Road on Thursday, March 15, between 12 midday and 8pm.
