Our Safer Neighbourhood teams in the Normanton and Peartree areas of Derby have a new leader.
Sergeant Donna Abbott has returned to the teams as their new sergeant, having previously worked with the them as a PC.
Donna joined Derbyshire police back in 2002, transferring from Nottinghamshire and having worked as a patrol and sexual offences liaison officer first moved to the Peartree Safer Neighbourhood Team in 2007.
She was promoted to Sergeant in 2017, supervising a team of response officers. She now moves back to Peartree to lead the Safer Neighbourhood team.
Donna said: “I am very happy to be back to lead an already highly motivated team.
“The team is established in a very vibrant and diverse area and are very visible in the community. I would really encourage residents to come up and speak to us so we can ensure we can continue to provide a quality service to the community.”
If you would like to speak to Donna about any concerns you have about policing issues in the area contact her on 101.
