Safer Neighbourhood Team Sergeants

  • Sergeant 2170 Tony Owen

I joined Derbyshire police in 1992 as a special constable before joining full time in 1998.  I have worked in a response role, CID, major crime and then promoted to Sergeant in 2017 where I worked from Swadlincote.

I am looking forward to working from Peartree police station and leading the already highly motivated Safer Neighbourhood team. I am passionate about policing and serving the community. I aim to work together with partner agencies and making  the area of Peatrtree a safe place to live and visit . We aim to be visible,  approachable and will actively target the issues that matter to the community.

I intend to have a no nonsense approach to persistent issues within the area including anti-social behaviour, drug offences and prostitution but also striving to protect the vulnerable within the community and giving them support and guidance where required.
