Safer Neighbourhood Team Sergeants

  • Sergeant 2386 Keith Chambers

I am Sergeant Keith Chambers and I am responsible for the Safer Neighbourhood Team here in Normanton and Rosehill

My career with Derbyshire police began in 1999 working at Derby South section where I spent 4 years before moving to Derby West where I have been based ever since. I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2007 and remained here running a successful response team so I have a very good understanding of the concerns and issues of the local community.

I am committed to providing a first class service to the public and making the area a safer place to live, work and visit. Whilst listening to the concerns of the community I aim to tackle anti- social behaviour, criminality, street drinking and the ongoing issues of prostitution and drug use. I am also committed to ensuring our parks are a safe place for the community to visit and enjoy.

My team will be active and visible in the community on foot and on bikes and I encourage you to approach us with your concerns. We will also keep you informed of local developments through our social media tools.

The area is the most diverse in the county and as a team working together with our partner agencies must ensure we strive to bring all people together for the good of the wider community and to promote a positive image of the area.
