Our officers from the Borrowash and Ockbrook Safer Neighbourhood Team are inviting residents from the villages to a spring crime prevention event.

The team are setting up stall at the Elm Avenue allotments, Borrowash, between 12 midday and 3pm on Sunday, March 18.

They will be joined by staff from Safer Homes and Erewash Borough Council to offer a range of crime prevention tips and goodies.

PCSO Caroline Drage from the team, said: “We know at this time of year attention starts to focus towards work in the garden. We can also see a rise in break-ins to sheds and outbuildings with thieves targeting tools and gardening equipment.

“We will be available to give help and advice to help prevent people from becoming victims of such crimes.”

For more information contact the team on 101 or alternatively send them a message online by visiting the Contact Us section of our website HERE.
