Officers from the Ilkeston Town Safer Neighbourhood Team are inviting residents to join them for a ‘brew’ to discuss policing issues.

The team is holding a ‘street-meet’ at Coffee Vida on South Street, Ilkeston on Friday, November 25 and is inviting local residents and shop keepers in the town to come and discuss any issues that they feel are affecting their community.

PC Malc Atherton from the team explained: “Being new to the team this is a great opportunity for me to hopefully meet some new people in the town centre.

“The team like to be as visible as possible on the patch but by holding this type of informal meeting we are hoping that residents or the shop keepers, that would like to discuss any particular policing issue, will come along and have a chat with us.”

The team will be at Coffee Vida between 12 midday and 2pm.
