Our officers from the Ilkeston Safer Neighbourhood Team are inviting people to join them for a drink to discuss local policing issues.

The team is holding a ‘street-meet’ at Coffee Vida on South Street in the town, tomorrow, Tuesday, August 8 and is inviting local residents or shop keepers in the area to come and discuss any issues that they feel are affecting their community.

PCSO Victoria Beardall from the team explained: “We try and get out and about in the town to be as visible as possible but holding these types of events means that we can be in a set location at a set time to allow people to come and have a chat if they have any concerns.

“We will even get the tea or coffee in for anyone that comes and speaks to us."

The team will be at the cafe between 10 and 11.30am.

For further information contact the team on 101 or send them a message online by visiting the Contact Us section of our website here.
