Our officers from the Long Eaton Rural Safer Neighbourhood Team are taking to the streets of Draycott to meet residents in the village.

The team is holding a street meet on New Street tomorrow, Thursday, May 18, between 5pm and 7pm and is inviting local residents to come and have a chat with them to discuss any issues that may be affecting their community.

PC Malc Atherton from the team, explained: “We are often out and about in Draycott and try to be as visible as possible, however on this occasion we thought it would be an idea to let people know that we will be in a certain place at a certain time. This way, if there is anything that people would like to discuss with us they can come out, meet us and we can answer any questions and offer advice on policing matters.”

The team will be in the car park of the Draycott Table Tennis Centre and will also have crime prevention items to distribute.
