Police in Derby and South Derbyshire ask for help in finding owner of property found on arrested man.

Posted on 27th June 2017

Our officers in Derby and South Derbyshire are asking for help in finding the owner of property found in the possession of a man we recently arrested in the city.

The items (pictured) include pairs of sunglasses and an Atari game console.

They were discovered by our officers after a 31-year-old Etwall man was caught after running from police on Uttoxeter New Road, Derby at around 10.30am on Monday, June 12.

He was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and interviewed in connection with a number of thefts from motor vehicles across Derby and South Derbyshire. He was later released pending further investigation.

PC Joe Stafford, from our Etwall Safer Neighbourhood team, said: “The man was interviewed in connection with a number of thefts and has now been released as we make further enquiries.

“As part of these enquiries we are particularly interested to speak to anyone who recognises the pictured item as having belonged to them and perhaps for some reason has not reported them to us as stolen.”

If you think you can help, please call Joe on 101 quoting incident number 17000246122.
