Are you a horse rider, runner or cyclist?
Then please join Derbyshire police for a free, fun and informative evening on road and rider safety.
The event, in partnership with the British Horse Society, starts at 7pm this Thursday June 21, at Broomfield College, Broomfield Hall near Derby.
The evening has been organised after concerns raised by horse riders in South Derbyshire who were becoming worried about several near misses when riding out on the roads near their stables. However it is not just for horse riders and there will be advice for anyone using the roads.
There will be lots of exiting talks and giveaways, including a free saddle data tag worth £30 for the first 30 people to arrive.
Kate Bowyer, Derbyshire police’s crime prevention officer, explained: “The evening will be an event aimed at anyone who uses the roads in a variety of ways and will promote greater road and rider awareness.
“We are being joined by the British Horse Society who will present a range of hints and tips about safer use of the roads.”
