Posted on 29th March 2017

We are asking for help after thousands of pounds of fishing equipment was stolen in a Mickleover burglary.

The break-in happened between 4pm, Monday, March 20 and 9.30am, Friday, March 24 when outbuildings of a house on Etwall Road on the outskirts of Mickleover were entered and fishing equipment stolen.

Officers from the Etwall Safer Neighbourhood Team, who are investigating the crime, have issued pictures of items that are identical to some of the things stolen. They are asking if anyone has had them offered for sale or if anything suspicious was seen between the two dates to make contact with them.

In all over £5,000 of equipment was stolen, one of these items was a distinctive looking remote controlled boat that is used to distribute bait. (pictured)
