Police appeal to trace owners of loose ponies in Swadlincote

Police are appealing for information to help find the owners of three ponies that were found loose in the Swadlincote area on Sunday.

Officers were called at around 3pm on Sunday, June 14 after three black and white ungelded ponies were found running loose in the Caldwell Road area of Linton, Swadlincote.

The horses have since been taken to a safe place under a green yard scheme initiative to ensure that they are safe and remain off the road. They are also being treated for cuts and burns to their bodies.

Officers are appealing to the public to help identify the owners of the animals.
