Man interviewed by Police after Swadlincote drug search

Officers from our Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team have interviewed a man after a drug search at a house in Midway, Swadlincote.

The team carried out the search yesterday, Tuesday, June 27 at a house in Lincoln Way under the Misuse of Drugs Act and found 14, what they believe to be, mature cannabis plants.

A 42 year-old man has been interviewed and reported for summons to appear at court for a suspected drug cultivation offence.

Sergeant Graham Summers, who is in charge of the team, said: “The search was carried out as a result of community intelligence. It shows that we will act and take positive action when we receive such information.
