Hall Farm Close Cannabis Grow

Officers from our Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team have found cannabis growing in a bungalow in the town.

Acting on intelligence from the community they visited the address on Hall Farm Close, yesterday, Sunday, February 10.

In the front bedroom of the bungalow they found over twenty plants that they believe to be cannabis. They also found the electricity supply had been tampered with.

The matter is being investigated by PC John Anwar, who said : “We visited the address having received information from the community concerned about what may be happening at the address.

“It is illegal to cultivate this type of plant and causes us concern, particularly in these cases, where it appears the electricity supply has been tampered with. This causes an obvious danger to the occupants of the property and other neighbours.

“I would appeal to anyone who has any information about this incident to make contact with me.”

The 66 year-old occupant of the house is to be interviewed although it is strongly suspected that others are involved and PC Anwar would be particularly interested in descriptions of anyone seen coming and going from the address or suspicious vehicles seen in the area over the last few weeks.

If you think you can help please make contact with PC Anwar, quoting reference number 19000068867, using one of the following methods:
