Our officers from the Melbourne Safer Neighbourhood Team have issued an image of a bike that was stolen from a shed in Shardlow, South Derbyshire.
The incident happened overnight Sunday, May 21 when a shed in a back garden of a house in Cheal Close was broken in to and a Cube Comp Acid mountain bike stolen.
PCSO Emma Guest, from the team, is dealing with the theft and said: “The bike is quite distinctive and by issuing a picture of the bike we hope that someone may recognise it as being offered it for sale and so make contact with us.
“The owner of the bike is naturally upset about its theft as the bike was not cheap and he had saved up to buy it for his recent 30th birthday as a present to himself.
“We would also like to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious that night in the location.”
If you think you can help, please call Emma on 101 quoting reference number 17000213269.
