Inspector for this area

The South Derbyshire Local Policing Unit covers a total of 344 square miles, incorporating rural villages and town centres, with Shardlow in one corner, Foston in another and Lullington at the bottom.

Policing is co-ordinated from Swadlincote, with an additional team office at Melbourne.

I'm delighted to be appointed as the Inspector for South Derbyshire. It's a beautiful part of the county and a safe place to live, work and visit. There is a great policing team here who are all committed to providing the best service possible for residents. We work closely with the community and local partners to maintain this.

I have been a serving police officer for more than 25 years. My heart has always been in community policing and making a real difference to people's lives. I like to speak to the public and listen to what really matters to them, tackling the issues most affecting local communities and ensuring I have the right resources in the right place at the right time.

My priorities will include reducing crime and anti-social behaviour, targeting those responsible robustly. Prevention work is very important to me and working with our partners plays a key role in this.
