The coincide with the first anniversary of the launch of the 101 non-emergency number, we're holding a live online chat to give you an insight into our emergency call centre.
Called the Centralised Contract Management Centre (CCMC), this building is the hub for all the emergency and non-emergency calls received in Derbyshire.
On Wednesday (October 24) at 7pm, you can log on to our online chat and talk with one of our senior officers within the CCMC, to find out how we handle the thousands of calls that come into the centre every day, how officers are coordinated by the centre, in what situations you should call either 999 or 101, and any other questions you want to ask.
