Man charged after making nuisance calls to police

A man has been charged with harassment after he allegedly made more than 40 nuisance calls to police in less than two weeks.

The 45-year-old man from Derby was arrested on Thursday, June 28 after he allegedly called police 48 times between June 14 and 28.

He was also arrested on suspicion of arson after police were called to a fire at a flat on Wolfa Street, Derby, in the early hours of Thursday, June 28.

He has been remanded in police custody until Thursday (July 5) when he will appear before magistrates in Derby.
