Detectives appeal for robbery victim to come forward

Police are appealing for the victim of a robbery in Derby city centre to come forward.

Two patrolling police officers were stopped by a man at around 3.35am on Sunday, July 22. He told the officers he had been robbed in The Strand area of the city by a man who threatened him and demanded his mobile phone.

The victim pointed out a suspect to the officers and they went over to speak to him. The victim left the area without leaving his details and police want to trace him.

He was white, in his early 20s and around 5ft 10ins tall. He had fair hair and wore dark clothing.
