Police are investigating a suspicious device that has been found in Chesterfield.
At 9.35pm this evening, November 9, police were called to a house on Church Lane, Calow, after a suspicious device was found outside a property.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal team were called and are investigating the device.
The safety of the public is paramount and a number of properties are being evcuated. An evacuation centre has been set up at Calow Primary School, North Road.
The centre is being managed by Derbyshire County Council Emergency Planning team and Derbyshire Constabulary.
