Man seriously injured in motorcycle collision

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious road crash in the High Peak last night.
At about 8.40pm on Tuesday August 20 a serious collision occurred on the A5004, Long Hill, between Buxton and Whaley Bridge. It involved one vehicle, a black Suzuki GSX 1400 motorcycle.
The rider, a 53-year-old man from Stockport, appears to have lost control on a bend whilst travelling towards Whaley Bridge. He sustained serious head injuries and is being treated in Wythenshawe Hospital.
