Witness sought to serious assault in Long Eaton

Officers are trying to trace witnesses to a serious assault in Long Eaton where a man suffered significant facial injuries.

The 27-year-old man had been enjoying a night out in Long Eaton and was walking along the High Street to meet friends.

The next thing he recalls is waking up in hospital. He had suffered five fractures to his jaw and required surgery. Doctors believe he had been kicked in the jaw.

Due to the extent of his injuries, officers have only recently been able to take a full statement from the victim but have been making other inquiries, including CCTV checks.

The assault happened at around 11.30pm on Saturday, June 8, which is when he was found outside The Blue Bell.
