Detectives investigating a robbery at a shop in Ilkeston are appealing for information.

At around 7.15pm on Thursday, December 26 two men entered the Co-op on Summerfields Way South and jumped over the cash desk, pushing the female member of staff out of the way.

They then loaded cigarettes into a builder’s bag and left the shop.

Both men had scarves covering their faces. One of the men was wearing a black hooded jacket and black tracksuit bottoms. The second man was wearing a grey Adidas hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms.

A suspicious dark coloured saloon car was seen in the store’s car park shortly before the robbery took place.

Anyone with any information about the robbery is asked to contact Erewash CID on 101.
