Police release the name of a man murdered in Ilkeston

Police who are investigating a murder at Ilkeston have released the name of the victim.

Michael Andrew Moss (48) was found injured at a house in Canal Street at 9pm on Wednesday, January 30. He was treated by paramedics but later died. A post mortem examination has revealed that he died from injuries suffered during an assault.

Four people arrested in connection with the murder remain in police custody this afternoon. Two men, aged 26 and 24, have been arrested on suspicion of murder while a 26-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward who saw two white men leaving the house around the time of the incident.

They are also asking people to ring in if they saw a silver vehicle in the area on the night of the murder. The two men were seen getting into the vehicle and driving off.
