Appeal after man is assaulted in South Normanton

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted by a group of people in South Normanton.

At around 1am on Saturday, January 26 a man confronted a group of people after they threw snowballs at his car on Market Street, South Normanton. The confrontation led to the group assaulting the 24-year-old victim.  

The victim suffered facial injuries as a result of the assault and was taken to Kingsmill Hospital for treatment.

The group also damaged his car.

Officers investigating the assault are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
