Police have arrested four people after two cars were stolen from a house in Long Eaton.

Officers were called to Hathersage Avenue at around 5.15pm on Sunday, February 10, after a resident saw a Ford KA collide with a parked vehicle. The driver got out and ran off.

The car was traced back to a house in the town and when officers got there, they discovered the house had been broken into and a second car, a BMW, had been taken.

The BMW was found later that evening parked in Peveril Crescent.

Two 17-year-old boys and two 19-year-old men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary, questioned and released on bail pending further inquiries.

Anyone witnesses, or anyone with information, should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
