Three teenagers arrested in connection with schoolboy stabbing

Police have bailed three teenagers arrested in connection with an assault in Derby.

Two 14-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm while a 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit GBH. All three were questioned and released on bail pending further inquiries.

Officers were called to a report of a stabbing at 4pm on Monday, February 18 and found that a 15-year-old boy had been injured in an underpass off Phoenix Street.

His injuries were not life-threatening and he has now been released from hospital.

Police having been liaising closely with Landau Forte College as part of the investigation and officers have confirmed they do not believe the assault to be gang-related.
