Appeal after jewellery stolen in Duckmanton robbery

Police are appealing for information after jewellery and mobile phones were stolen during a robbery in Chesterfield.

At around 9.40pm on Monday, February 11 a man was assaulted and had his mobile phone, wallet, watch and two rings stolen in the Rectory Road area of Duckmanton.

The victim, a self-employed broker who deals in jewellery and precious metals, had gone to meet a customer in Barlborough.

The customer then drove the victim to the Rectory Road area where two men got out of a car and assaulted the victim. They stole items from him before driving off leaving him there.

The 32-year-old victim from Preston suffered cuts and bruises during the assault and was taken to Chesterfield Royal Hospital as a precaution.

The stolen watch is a Black Armin watch with diamonds around the face and a snake skin strap.

One of the stolen rings is an 8ct diamond rose gold ring with the initials YS engraved on the inside.
