Woman suffers severe bruising during an assault in Ilkeston

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in Ilkeston.

The 44-year-old was in Portland Street sometime between 11pm and midnight on Sunday, May 5 when she was approached by two men.

They punched her and she fell to the floor. They then kicked her in the stomach and back. She suffered severe bruising and may have broken ribs.
