Man requires stitches following an assault

A man required stitches to his ear after he was assaulted in a Derby Street.

The 30-year-old got into an argument with two men in Bramble Street at about 1.35am on Wednesday, May 5.

They assaulted him, leaving him with bruising to his face and body and a torn ear lobe.

Two men aged 23 and 25 and from Chaddesden have been arrested on suspicion of assault, questioned and released on bail while inquiries continue.
