Youths rob man of his mobile phone in Derby

Three youths robbed a man of his mobile phone in Derby.

At around 3am on Saturday, November 23, two men aged 18 and 20 were walking along Friar Gate when they were approached by three teens. One teen threatened the men but they ignored him and carried on walking.

When the men reached the junction of Nun’s Street and Ashbourne Road, they noticed the youths were behind them. They surrounded the men and one youth punched one man in the ribs while another member of the gang searched his pocket and stole his mobile phone.

The two men managed to run away. They have described the youths as Asian, slim and aged 12 to 16. The youth who stole the phone is 5ft tall and had black hair visible beneath a red hat. He also wore a light brown hooded jacket. The youth who punched the man is 5ft 7ins tall with short, black hair. He wore a black jacket. The third youth is 5ft 6ins tall.
