Appeal after items stolen from cars in Glossop

Police in Glossop are appealing for information after several cars had items stolen from them.

The thefts took place overnight between Sunday, November 24 and Monday, November 25 when the cars were left parked in the town.

Three cars parked on the same driveway on Park Close were broken into between 10pm and 6.50am. They stole an iPod, a sat nav and two pairs of sunglasses from a Volvo V40, Peugeot 207 and Peugeot 206.

A Renault Scenic and a Toyota Prius parked on a driveway on Shirebrook Drive were broken into between 10pm and noon the following day. A pram was taken from the Renault but was found discarded nearby.

An insecure Silver Mercedes parked on Thorpe Street, had iPod Nano stolen from it.

Two other cars parked on Church Street and Blackshaw Road were searched but nothing was stolen.

Officers are reminding people to ensure their cars are left secure and all valuables are removed.
