Six men arrested and a large 'cannabis' grow discovered in Derby
Posted on 30th October 2013
Police have arrested six people and discovered a suspected cannabis grow after vigilant neighbours reported suspicious men in a Derby street.
At around 2pm yesterday (Tuesday, October 29), neighbours rang the police to tell officers they saw men jump over the wall of a house in Dairyhouse Road and get into a car.
Police visited the house and found a large amount of what they believe to be cannabis growing inside. They stopped a car in Cambridge Street.
Four people were arrested in the car and another two nearby. The local men – two in their late teens, three in their early 20s and one in his late 20s – were arrested on suspicion of burglary. They have been questioned and released on bail while the inquiry continues.
Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
