Police appeal after woman is left with cuts to forehead in bottle strike

A woman was struck to the forehead with a bottle during an argument in a bar and needed medical treatment for her injuries.

The 21-year-old victim was with a group of friends at The Vault, in High Street, Buxton, when an argument broke out with a second group.

She was then hit by an unseen offender with a bottle, which left a deep cut.

A 21-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the incident, which happened at about 12.45am on Saturday, April 12, and has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and want to hear from anyone who was in The Vault that night and saw the incident take place.
