Three people arrested on suspicion of drug offences in Chaddesden

Police have executed two drug search warrants in Chaddesden today (Friday April 25) and arrested three people.

Officers, acting in response to local concerns about suspected drug dealing, carried out simultaneous warrants on Oakleigh Avenue and Kerry Street.

Fourteen small bags of what is thought to be the drug Mkat were discovered at Oakleigh Avenue, where a 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug. He remains in police custody.

About a dozen plants, what is believed to be a substantial amount of cannabis bush and a large amount of cash were discovered at the house on Kerry Street. A 54-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man were arrested at the house, also on suspicion of possession with intent to supply controlled drugs. They have been released on police bail.
