Posted on 29th April 2014

Police are appealing for witnesses to a fight in a city centre nightclub in which a man was thought to have been hit with a glass.

The fight broke out between two men on the dance floor of Revolution de Cuba, in The Strand, at about 1am on Saturday, April 26.

One of the men, described as white, between 5ft 10ins and 6ft and of medium build, left the scene before police arrived. Officers want to speak to that man and are appealing for him to contact police on 101.

A 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of a public order offence and has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call Derbyshire police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
