Appeal following burglary at Glossop supermarket

Detectives in Glossop are appealing for information after cigarettes were stolen during a burglary from a supermarket.

At around 1.10am on Tuesday, April 8 three offenders entered Co-op, Norfolk Street, by forcing open shutters and the doors to the shop.

They have then stolen a large amount of cigarettes and left the shop just a few minutes later.

The offenders all wore face coverings but it is believed they were men.

The first offender was wearing a blue top, black tracksuit bottoms with a grey stripe and was carrying a white bag.

The second suspect had a two-tone grey and blue hooded top, dark tracksuit bottoms with a blue stripe and grey trainers. The third was wearing dark clothing and was holding a bar around 3ft in length.

Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to call Glossop CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
