Witnesses sought following Chesterfield burglaries

Posted on 7th August 2014

Police are appealing for witnesses after two burglaries took place in Chesterfield.

On Saturday, August 2, offenders forced open the lock of a property on Nethergreen Avenue in Killamarsh.

Offenders carried out an untidy search and made off with a number of items including jewellery, a Samsung laptop and an I-pod Nano.

Police believe that the thieves used a pillow case to transport the stolen goods during the incident that took place between 4.15pm and 10.30pm.

Between 2pm and 2.30pm on Tuesday, July 29, offenders gained entry to a property on Bowshaw in Dronfield through the rear kitchen door.

Thieves stole two iPads, a Samsung laptop, a Panasonic digital camera and a LG mobile phone. Cash and items of jewellery were also taken from the address.

Officers are urging homeowners to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity in the area.

Anyone with information about either incident is asked to call the Volume Crime Team on 101.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
