On Monday, July 28 at 6.55pm a passenger on an Arriva bus at Derby Bus Station when he was approached by a man who hit him in the face. The man then left the bus and made off towards the River Gardens.

Police would like to speak to a man that was captured on CCTV in connection with the assault. The man was described as white, approximately 30-years-old with short dark hair and a beard. He was wearing a light coloured, short sleeved t-shirt with the logo ‘Tokyo’ on the front, dark coloured trousers and was carrying a blue rucksack. He had a distinctive dragon tattoo on his left forearm.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Lucy Irwin at St Marys Wharf police station using the non-emergency number 101.
